Densys3d announced today that it has begun clinical trials with its intra-oral camera and system for use in orthodontics, crowns, bridges and implants. The system has been in laboratory tests until now, but patient trials in the clinic are now underway.

 

The field of intra-oral mapping technology is the most exciting new area in dentistry today and three-dimensional mapping of the mouth is required in almost every procedure in dentistry.

Densys3d announced today that it has achieved an average accuracy of 30 microns with its intra-oral camera and system for use in orthodontics, crowns, bridges and implants.  The bulk of the scanned area returned a result of only 8 microns, exceeding expectations for a scanner of this kind.
